This is supposed to be a
hummingbird feeder....?
Has anyone else had this experience?
Perhaps someone close by
is a beekeeper?
Meanwhile...have a honey of a day!

I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers! Thanks!
We don't know much about bees or the feeder, but we do know bees like sweet stuff so maybe that is why they are at the feeder?
ReplyDeleteWe have six, one quart humming bird feeders on our patio. We have tons of hummingbirds, but I've never seen the bees take it over. Way cool.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Big hug to you both and lots of lovies to Miss Lucy. ♥
That is a lot of bees. We get one sometimes. One time, the hummingbird stabbed it with his beak and it was stuck on it for a few days.
ReplyDeleteKathe I had that very same experience a few years ago. Oh boy what a shock we had when w saw it. We literally got a 10' pole to knocked the feeder to the ground. It was covered. I had the exact feeder as you. the next year I found a different feeder at Wal-Mart. I like it much better. Vat is glass, neck is wider and easier to clean, it does not have they yellow like flower area for feeding. Instead it has tiny slits. This year I have had a few bees tried unsuccessfully to sip. The hummers dive bomb them. Also earlier this year I discovered what this behavior means evidently when the hive is too crowed some bees are forced out. I will send you an email with a picture of my feeder

Thanks Cecilia!
DeleteThat's a new one on me!
ReplyDeleteThe bees have taken over the feeder.
ReplyDeleteThe swarm heheh!
ReplyDeleteHave a beetastic safe week 😷😷😷
I don't think the hummers will like those intruders!
