Awww Monday! December 16, 2019

A good childhood friend sent me this
photo and story about Great Dane service dogs.
I thought you all would enjoy this.
Have a great day!

THIS POTENTIAL SERVICE DOG PUPPY IS AT HOME -   IT IS ALMOST 2 MONTHS OLD NOW.  IT WAS BORN AT THE SERVICE DOG PROJECT, WHERE IT WILL LIVE UNTIL IT CHOOSES A HUMAN IT WANTS TO LIVE WITH - WHEN IT'S 1-1/2 TO 2 YEARS OLD.  PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES APPLY FOR THESE DOGS.  SELECTED APPLICANTS COME AND LIVE AT THE SDP FARM FOR SEVERAL DAYS, JUST HANGING OUT, HELPING WITH CHORES AND STUFF.  AT SOME POINT A DOG WILL CHOOSE THEM, THEY DO NOT CHOOSE THE DOG.  A DOG WILL DECIDE IT LIKES THEM, AND IF IT LOOKS LIKE A MATCH, HUMAN AND DOG ARE PAIRED AND ON THEIR MERRY WAY.  THE DOG HAS BEEN TRAINED WITH THE BASICS, AND THEN WHEN IT CHOOSES A HUMAN, IT IS FURTHER FINE-TUNE-TRAINED TO THAT INDIVIDUAL'S SPECIFIC NEEDS.  IT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING.  VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES GET FIRST CHOICE.  :)

  3. How lovely. I didn't know this. I think pups always chose who they want to be with, but that doesn't always mean it's how it works. Glad it does here.

I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers! Thanks!
