Haiku for Goldfish

I just started participating on a blog site called Magpie Tales.
You can find the link on the right side of this blog.
It basically has a new image every week and we have
a certain amount of time to post our story, poem or haiku
to go with the image of the week. As the author of the blog says:
"This blog is dedicated to the enjoyment of writers,
for the purpose of honing their craft,
sharing it with like minded bloggers,
and keeping their muses alive and well."
So here's my first attempt -I'll give it whirl!
Eye on you
Swimming in airless water
Endangered fish

  1. Kathe

Oh how fun I just adore this one...clever indeed, glad you joined us in Magpie Pie...

  2. Dear Kathew: How I love your Haiku poem! Simply brilliant! Very zen mood here. Red coral; is that red coral? It is endangered; you're right as rain on that account! Looking forward to more from your talented pen!

  3. Super haiku. Loved this!!

  4. Haiku's are so powerful ~ love it!

  5. There was sadness and regret in such a short little piece. I thought immediately of that awful oil spill and all the marine life that will suffer because of it.

  6. nicely done magpie...i wonder does he wish he was a real fish...perhaps he has a pinochio complex. lol.

  7. Haiku is perfect..so much, in so little...Thanks!

  8. Just perfect, your haiku said it all.

  9. Good -- haiku for a hake. :-)

  10. Definitely endangered in airless water. If the fish doesn't die, it's a human! Why dies everyone have it in for the little guy? Nice first Magpie.

  11. Fun haiku! I enjoyed it very much.

I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers! Thanks!
