I love chickens! We used to have some many years ago. Unfortunately, predators kept coming from all around and finally ate them all. (owls, oppossums, racoons, and even hawks)
Oh, I have always dreamed of having a few chickens around. My grandparents had some when I was a kid and it was wonderful to go out every morning to collect the eggs.
we love our chickies....we've had chickens for about 8 - 10 years- of course being chickens there is a bit of predition in our little flocks...we have two at the moment and that seems to be a number that can be maintained-more and we lose some...and I HATE that. We name our hens and become quite attached to the silly nice creatures. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the back porch steps watching the chickens peck around and cluck to each other...very communal and lovely. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment...I appreciate that. Kathe

Guess there are two ways to look at every picture...six one way (ha, six) and half a dozen the other. Great image and post!
I think having fresh eggs would be so cool! 2 chickens only lay 6 per week tho?
This was a good six words! My daughter has chickens and they enjoy the eggs. Not me...I am allergic! (:>)
Happy Saturday!
