Poetry Jam November 20, 2013

Illuminating
Franklin's discoveries
Edison did more
Than fly a kite
~~~~~~~
Both Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Edison were
brilliant ( no pun intended) inventors.
One of Benjamin Franklin's many inventions was the lightning rod
and while Thomas Edison did not invent the light bulb,
he did invent the first commercially practical
incandescent light bulb.
Things get cloudy in history at times. Yes they do.
Have a terrific day. ☺
Very clever take on 'lightning.'
Yes, indeed.
Franklin was quite the inventor himself, and each generation stands on what the generation before did. Your poem points to that very well indeed.
I was thinking about Ben Franklin and the lightning when I was coming up with my own poem! Some of these inventions have changed life so much.
flying a kite is just the start of the story. I like this and the way it makes you think.
