  3. Wish I could examine this letter more closely. I'm sure a novel could be written about it.

  6. I took a magnifying glass to the image, and discovered the approximate year of the stamp, and the county of Warwickshire, and the city of Henley-on-Arden, on the ground where the ancient forest once stood; and yes, a long epic poem emerged. Tess's prompts are always pregnant with meaning, symbols, & messages. Your take was lovely; thanks.

  15. Such news is always welcome. How did we manage before the advent of adhesive stamps?

  16. This seems just perfect for the anniversary of The Gettysburg Address, as I imagined scenes like this, and, sadly, scenes that never played out in quite this way.

I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers! Thanks!
