Six Word Saturday and Shadow Shot Sunday July 27-28, 2013

I love feeding family and friends

There is nothing more satisfying than making
dinner for family and friends.
We have been visiting up north in the Portland Oregon
area and staying with good friends.
Last night I made a yummy pasta with my marinara sauce
and a delicious Peach tart.
Everyone licked their plates clean!
Darn! I should have a photo of that!

  1. Everyone licking their plate would be funny indeed!
The peach tart looks like it was created by a master chef. Was it difficult cutting into that masterpiece?

  2. Alex-no it wasn't difficult as the pan has a removable bottom that pushes up so I was able to release it from the round fluted edge.

  5. The peach tart does look wonderful. I am feeling cheated. My friends mostly are the "lets eat out" type...not the let me cook for you type.

  8. It is fun to feed people, especially those who appreciate it. My grandmother never let anyone leave her house without being fed, even delivery people, so when i feel people i call it "channeling my grandmother"!

  12. You peach tart looks really good, Kathe. I know that I would like it, with ice cream or plain or with whipped cream.

Yes, I would like to see you all licking your plates. Mrs. Jim wants me to pull the curtains when I do that.

  16. Everything looks yummy. I prefer a peach to an apple tart any day (which I first thought it was.) I had a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie today that was really yummy.

  20. Hummm Kathe, totally agree with you there's nothing like a good soul fool. I'm also totally crazy about pasta, which one did you used with your marinara sauce ? Thanks for the link to your peach tart, I'll try it, I'm more into my usual apple tart.

    Happy (late) SWS !
