Poetry Jam.... All About Rocks

Rocks....
As a kid I collected rocks-
Fingering the smooth shapes

Stuffing them into my pocket-
Taking them home to treasure

Putting them into a glass jar of water-
Or lining them up on the window sill

Not knowing that in the future-
I'd find my perfect rock
A diamond in the rough......

My sweetheart-
My forever life partner.

  11. Beautiful Kathy. I loved to collect rocks when I was a kid too--I even tried for a while to learn the names of different kinds and how to identify them (I think I gave up on that). And your forever rock--wonderful. I feel lucky to have one of those too.

  17. Rocking it all up, Kathe. Being solid rocks sustain longer. And the endearing one sustains the most. Nicely!
