O is for Onions, Oatmeal and Oh my!

O!!!

Onions are an important staple in our home!
A lot of our favorite recipes begin with
"first chop one onion".

Oatmeal! A great way to begin your day!
We prefer the Steel cut oatmeal to the dull flaky kind.
Add some raisins and Golden Lyme syrup for a real treat.

OH MY!
We were so surprised to see these birds
yesterday morning at the bird feeder.
Evening Grosbeaks- very gregarious, travel
in large groups and are monogamous!
I apologize for the blurry photo- but it was
the best I could do at the moment!

  1. We eat a lot of oatmeal at our house, too, and many of our recipes also begin with "chop a large onion." :) Love the photo! What a great capture. ☺

  5. I love onions and the birds are awesome. You can have the oatmeal. Never have cared for oatmeal. Okay, I'm not a cereal person at all.

    Have a terrific day. ☺

One summer I went off to camp, and everyone there was hardcore, "if you don't cook it on the fire, you don't eat it". So it was oatmeal every morning. And I hated it. But I love the oatmeal flavored Poptarts! :)

  9. I'm not a fan of oatmeal, but I eat it. Good for the cholesterol. Onions - not a problem! I think we eat them every day.

  10. You folks do eat healthily. Well done!
Birds are always a difficult capture. You did well - better than most of my mess ups....
    Have a nice day.

I love comments and will attempt to reply to each one. However, lately I have been getting "Unknown" comments that are linked to some sort of web page. I will never open this sort of comment and will immediately mark as spam. I am not interested in opening something that could be detrimental to my blog security etc. Never have enjoyed hackers!
