I am so glad I grew up in a more innocent time.

That was 26 in a VW bug if I remember correctly... ah but for the wonderful road trip!
You could do that then. Less cars on the road. Now you'd get booked for it.

ha. yes, life was much simpler back then...was just commenting elsewhere about walking a mile down a 4 lane road to cut my uncles grass...would not happen now...

It was indeed a different time back then.
I grew up just a tad later when kids had their mom's station wagons and we could fit so many kids into those. Great memories.
