Magpie #72-Family Garden

Wheat Field with Rising Sun, Vincent Van Gogh, 1889

I grew up with a vegetable garden
Rinsing fresh lettuce into a bowl
Scooping up warm cherry tomatoes
Popping crunchy pea pods into my mouth
The soil enriched meals mingle into memories
Of soft summer evenings sweet with family
