Trip to California Day 3

Leaving Sausalito early am for Bolinas-
the view is from Janet and Floyd's home-wow!

I stopped on Hwy 1 for the shot. The road is quite
narrow, winding, and in some places
only one lane-no wonder I left before anyone
else was on the road! Took about 45 minutes
from Sausalito-gorgeous drive...

The lagoon right before you turn left to
get to Bolinas...don't look for signs-there aren't any!

Miles perched on the fence before the Memorial
Service for his Grandmother

Meryl visiting with a dear friend...

Afterwards I went over to Kitty and Arthur's home
and then we went on a drive to visit some of her
friends- this is one of the lovely homes in Bolinas

A sculptor lives here-and I found live sculptures
in the garden...

I like this angle...

Arthur is cooking a delicious dinner- thanks Arthur!

And Kitty is making little fruit tarts from Mulberries and other fruits from their garden.
Very tasty treats...and Charlie rules from his
favorite spot.

Jordan is now the good sport as Amy and the saleswoman outfit him with new clothes for his new job in France....

Happy 4th of July!!!

Happy 4th of July.....here's some shots
from today and yesterday.....I am sitting
on the deck watching the birds at the
feeder while writing on the lap top..and
it's a gorgeous day!

Yesterday we went to a huge block party out
in Gresham. We had a lot of fun meeting new
people and watching the kids shoot off
fireworks with close adult supervision.
They even had a barrel to put in the used
fireworks with a hose to wet them down.
Quite the safe operation.
In addition to that-there was a real -
honest to goodness garage band-and they were
pretty darn good!

Safety first-all of the kids were really aware of the rules....

While the fireworks were going off-
Mother Nature decided to shoot off some of
her own...an electrical storm with lots of
thunder and lighteneing-and of course RAIN!

We always go to the Lions Pancake Breakfast
at Mary S Young Park....yummy...

Dining with kids and a lot of dogs....

The drink line- coffee, tea, juice and milk...

Cooks at the sausage grill....
